Looks like a cool game, sorta Doom 3 + Tomb Raider: Legend.

I finally got around to checking the demo out.  It's pretty cool.

I would download it if it looked like my computer could run it. But it doesn't.

I don't really get/like the american indian thing. Or the 'Die, shoot birds, come back' thing. The wallwalking thing looks like it might be tons of fun in multiplayer, though...

If you watched the videos, it says that there's only two difficulty level- 'Normal' and 'Cherokee'. Normal adapts to how you're doing. The ammo placements are also dynamic, based on what ammo you need/how well you're doing.

And the portals are just too cool for words. In fact, I think I made them less cool by talking about them.

Wow, I have to give it to them that this demo will run on very low end machines, it ran on my laptop in linux using wine, and that's my laptop with no video drivers installed, lol.
One problem so far with this game...at the beginning, I don't have any quarters for the *cough* vending machine in the bathroom. Hitting the lightswitches and watching the flimsy hand can get entertaining though.

Yeah, it amazed me that this was the Doom 3/Quake 4 engine running on my laptop which struggles with Quake 3.

The thing is, when a map reloads all of the sounds go away. So, enter at the beginning and re-tab it up at the end.

Wait, what? How did this post get here? Ummm... Ignore this.

Was that actually a problem you had? That's kinda funny.

AH! OMG! Thanks eiii, I had that problem and was like "wtf?" thought that wine was just being a pain.

<--Edit-->
OMG Eiii, you solved my sound problem without even knowing it, lol.

The sound effects are funky.  I have an X-Fi, and moving a couple inches can make the sound super echo-y or not.  There's almost no transition.  Like when the girl is talking to you, just her moving her head around can have dramatic changes in the reverb properties.

And the portals are nifty.  You can see yourself walking through a portal into the room where the portal is.  You can even shoot yourself.

My favorite part is when you hit those two guys in the head/neck/upper torso with a wrench about 10 times, and when you're done she says, "What are you doing? You could have killed them!".

...I'm pretty sure I did. I thought they would back off or something after I hit them with a wrench once.

But then again, I didn't actually play through it. At all the settings off/on their lowest, it's still unplayably laggy.

They're all using the Doom 3 / Quake 4 engine, I experienced the Doom 3 and Quake 4 demo lag, but even though I was running the Prey demo in Wine in Linux, it ran decently, low settings though.
I don't know if they use a modified engine for the demo's or what, but yeah, I hope the Prey game will run better than the demo too.
