I had an idea of adding Quark support.
unfortunately i don't know anything Python (which is coded in quark) and development ceased.
BUT if anyone knows python coding (you have you be good in python), and Quark may have support for this game considering this is now a stand alone.
quark.sourceforge.net
here is the site.

Bump, i think this would be a good idea.

This is an open source game, people can use what ever tools they want. I think coding Paintball 2 requires Visual C++ and mapping requires BSP. But other than that, you can use what ever tools you want.
I think some people have created models for this game using Blender.

Quark works already, this game is just a mod of quake 2

But the downloads page for this website comes with BSP which is already setup for Paintball 2. You just have to change the directories (if needed) and double click the .exe file.
Unless if there's a version of Quark that's already setup for Paintball 2. People will have to manually set it up to work with Paintball 2.

FourthX used Quark for mapping. I'm not sure if you can track him down or if he still has the files. I never really cared for it, but I didn't use it that much.

I have the files for quark. I use Quark for all my maps, but in order to use it you will also NEED QUAKE 2 to COMPILE maps.
