You need to properly texture the tops of your barrels, but I'll see if I can get it up on the beta server tonight for play testing.

Looking good viper, I haven't played it yet but looks like you've put some time into it. Those barrel bunker walls are different but looks like it could be fun. If I spot anything after playing it on the beta server I'll let ya know. GJ

I've added it to the beta server so it can get some play testing. It needs a lot of polish if you're going to keep working with it. I noticed several textures that were just a pixel or two off in alignment. This is usually due to bad mapping practices and can often be more work to correct than to just scrap it and do it properly (use grid alignment and texture locking). I certainly see potential there to make good maps in the future if you keep at it, though.

Man I thought you scraped this map. This was one of the first maps I played. I think I played the second beta on the beta server when I first started play. Nice to see you still working on it.

1) rotate the wood on the side of the planks
2) make the ladders consistant, some of them have skinny boards on the side and the others are thick, skinny looks nicer :)
EDIT:
3) Pure black on the sides of the wooden elevators looks really bad, use wood or metal.. or anything else :)
4) in the tunnels add some real light sources, just using the light entity with nothing looking like it's emitting light look bad. There's no laziness in mapping ;)

2) I just dont like how thick the sides of the ladders are
3) kinda a problem with func_plat, the sides are obstructed by the floor during compile, try making the face on the raised floor that touches the black face in bsp a light in the surface window, the only thing it will light is the side of the elevator :)

All I can say now is, cut out a square in the ground and make it so when it goes to the bottom it also goes into the floor down there, stopping with the top of the elevator level with the ground, that way you can't see the side except when it's moving :)

I've attached a demo of some things you might want to revise. I've also uploaded the map to the beta server for play testing.
Edit: after a little play testing I noticed a couple things:
- In the red base, one of the spawns faces the wall instead of the front of the base.
- Some players struggle getting up the ladders in the middle. Make just the center of the ladder climbable, that way they won't climb up on the side and hit their head on the ceiling.

Looks better - only tweak is I'd move everything in so the planks are aligned with the grid and texture. As it is now, there's a sliver of plank that hangs over the edge, which looks a little weird.
