Title: global port ranges?

hello i use to have a server up and running but i stopped playing for a bit and took down my server. i know what the port is (27910) but whats the global port ranges?

I think he wants to know, if there are any special ports for DP.
If so: No, you can choose whichever port you want to have.

well, practically you could use anything between 1 and 65535 I think, but some thousand are more or less reserved for windoze

It's whatever "port" is set to, which is 27910 by default.  If you just run one server, that's all you need to worry about.

Just a bit of id trivia:

When DooM came out, the registered port for it was 666 and still is to this day.

I cant read the gif.  Could you enable remote config on your router so that I may take a closer look?
