Here my first map release. Towerjump II is a Jumpmap for beginners (I think there are too less really easy maps). You don't need to doublejump and everybody who just started this game has a good chance to get the flag.
Some ideas:
- brush at bottom of the map that's called "Danger" and kills all blockers in the tunnel (with cooldown time)
Beta 2:
- fixed spawn angle
- map is brighter
- added something
Beta 3 out:
- brighter
- added hints
Beta 4:
- added one room so less people get bored after 1min
- added lava in secret
Beta 5:
- fixed the ladders so nobody blocks
- added lava between first and second room so totally beginners stay in the easy level and don't block
The map was too big for dplogin attachment.. so here the link.

Few Screenshots:

dp2 quality jump map, i like it
-
some lighters would be cool
-
Looks pretty nice! However, it is pretty dark in places - could you set a really low ambient light in the worldspawn? Should stop the textures from being absolutely pitch black in places. Also, easy enough that I could finish it :D
-
You just want your name on this beautiful map Viciouz :P nice work Spain.
Just played it. EZPZ.
I like the fire.
One suggestion, make falling through the chandelier with the flag cap it :O

Update: Beta 2
-
Nice visuals, but the map is still too dark and really strains my eyes to try to see in it. I would crank up the brightness on the torches a LOT, or, if that's too much work, you could make a custom batch file to compile it and use the -scale parameter for lighting, like:
call ..\compilers\rad -scale 8 -extra %1
That will make it 8x brighter (probably about what it needs).
-
Sorry, but I won't make the map brighter. I like this dark atmosphere. I could add some more fires at few positions, when needed.
Uploaded new screenshots with better brightness in first post.
-
Keep in mind that most people probably don't have a monitor as bright as you do. What you can see fine may be basically black for other people. This map is way too dark, period. You can't expect people to see on it.
-
Okay I increased the brightness again and I hope it's enough, because I can't get higher (the tunnel needs to stay a bit black). Now you are able to see every texture and no black brushes. Mapfile in first post (towerjump2_b3).

These are the ones from b2, but jitspoe wrote they are too dark for some players.
I will work with this brighter version until the last beta, because it's easier to find mistakes. In the end, I will present 3 different brightness versions and we will vote.

Hmm.. nobody is interested in jump maps (especially easy ones for the beginners), Chef-Killer or T3RR0R15T move this to the Graveyard please. Next time I better work on a DM Map.
-
LIKE IT!
Very Nice!
Its not to hard and not to easy. Interessting jumps.

Don't be like that! This is a very cool map.
Feedback:
-Love the 'hints'.
-It's got a good feel to it.
-Would be a nice start to a jump map series.
-I've never been a fan of the random edges and planks, would be cool if you could make it more realistic :P
Just going to stick this here, take it or leave it.
If I were making a jump map, I'd make it part of a series. Making it harder a long the way, a couple of different themes with a unique emblem or something throughout all the maps. Whenever I do jump maps, I usually go for ariejumps or the like, just because it's a series. It's fun to complete one jump map, but completing a whole series? That's just cool. Anyway, I kind of just rambled, but I hope this inspires some one reading this.
KEEP ON MAPPING SPAIN!

Just out of curiosity, I tried relighting it with -scale 10 (10x's brighter lighting). I think it would look better selectively brightening things up and adding more light sources, but at least you can see where you're going now:
-
New beta.
-
After testing on a jump server I had to fix the ladders in the second room. New beta.
-
Hmm.. no feedback anymore? After one month of beta testing on different jump servers it will go final soon.
-
Its good that lava has a curve because even longest jump such as cj dosent work.... Good Job :)

It's no main part of the map anyway. All jumpers that I know and tested with, did the jump pretty easy.

If you cj, you can make it past that lava structure.
-
It was a very easy jump map... Quake based maps are very complecated and much tougher than this 1. Add some triky jumps that are very tough..

Read the description.. this map was done for totally beginners, because there are too less really easy jump maps for them.
-
Still way too dark. Doesn't do beginners much good if they can't even see the platforms they're supposed to be jumping on...
-
Can't see anything after the first few jumps... I don't like how dark it is either.
Edit: It is much better with gl_brightness 1. I just don't think people should have to enter a command to be able to see.
