Brush -> Make -> N-Sided...
I think the standard radius is 24 units and the number of sides is 8. (Height is 64 units).
P.S; You need to have a brush selected! Just make a 64*64 cube by using the grid.

I didn't find the button you had in your tutorial ( maybe I have a different version???), its made very well with much love but Ricks way was a lot easier for me :)

Nice idea but i think it'll be good to make some videos about entities like rotating doors, trains etc. :)
