It would help the game if people stayed in one clan? I was more or less trying to make a funny joke but clearly failed.

Making fun of people isn't really that helpful. It's like what Chemical/Whaley etc do, don't drop to their level.

Truth Rick, as full of my self as this is going to sound is I should set better examples a lot of the newer players look up to me because of my name and how long I've been around.

It doesn't sound like it at all. Your name is on maps, you're regularly on irc, you're a committee member and you have your own servers. :)
