Unfortunately there isn't a way to do this through the config file.
I think most people create a maps/pgp directory and put the maps they want on the rotation in there.
To make them pgp only you have to create .ent files for those maps and put them in the maps/pgp/ent directory. Then in the rotation put pgp/mapname for the pgp only version.

uses the crack pgp server this method or is there another way?

I thought it did, but it looks like they changed it.
They must just have a second paintball directory with .ent files for the maps they want to use. This would remove the need for a pgp folder and a pgp/ent folder.
-
I think they run a rcon script that sets expert 8 after every map.

Ah fancy...
I have no idea how to do that though so sorry kakarot/MatzeMR.
-
I really need to make a pgp only setting, or maybe the expert setting should stay enabled across all maps.
-
well let me know if any of you can get ahold of an rcon script :/

Second paintball folder
maps -> just your pgp maps + .ent
done

in fact there is definetly no need for a pgp directory. If you just load a suitable .ent file the users don't have a second copy of these maps on their PC which i'd try to avoid.

Only problem with this is that the .ent will run every time you load the map. If you are only running a pgp server it is fine, but this wouldn't work if you want to also run a normal server.
Solution would be a pgp directory or a second paintball installation like ic3 and I have suggested. Second paintball installation would be better.

how to make .ent files?

As Rockitude already said, we use a python script that checks if the map changed over and over again. If the map changed, it will set expert 8.
We did this because we found it anoying that you had to make a new .ent file for every map and that you had to have 2 map folders / 2 pb installations. I think our way is much better for the resources for the players as well as the server.
Maybe I can release the script here, i have to talk to the other admins first.
-
wow nice... would be cool if you could release the script..
-
Nice script.
But you can create a second pb directory and link to the main folders. Just a few MB more.
Both will work.

But you still have to make a new .ent file for every map so you could not simply change the rotation without creating such a file. Also, the players need to download the maps, so for them it's still doubling the space of the maps folder.
How do you do that?

Sure with .ent. But with an external program done in few seconds.
You dont need to download the maps again. intercourse pgp folder. I use the main folder
