so yeah like 10min ago i was playing jump maps on my own server, i had a few bots loaded and was just jumping around.....i retarted the server (esc=>play=>start new game=>clicked map) the map was slowjump5. If you arent familular with it, its like all crappy old q2 textures but it loaded all the testures as the red player model for some reason..take a look see

It has to do with texture hashing, and only seems to happen on old q2 maps, so it's not really a problem in my book. But, I'm not the one developing the game.

happens on graveyard a lot, so it's not a bug related to old q2 maps. I'm also not sure if doing "vid_restart" solves the issue, as it happens to all players and not only one => serverside problem I think
-
happens to me on jump maps all the time.
-
what version client are you using??
-
ive never had that problem on any server and i would think a vid_restart could solve that as it did on jitspoes not so funny april fools joke
-
yeah a vid_restart will solve it.

I *think* it has something to do with .wal files. I've had it happen to me, but only with the white and black textures, which are still in the .wal format (ie: keyboard in grave, lights in ub_rooftop, bowling alley in cosmic3). I guess it would make sense if you're loading all .wal files. I haven't seen it happen with jpeg or tga textures, and it doesn't happen often enough to pin down exactly what causes it.
