Title: [HELP] Screen resolution error
Post by: Squeeze on January 12, 2015, 12:55:44 PM
Hey, please help me resolve this. I have set 1920x1080p display resolution, but it looks like desktop is only in HD - 720p and games too. But weird is that desktop is in HD, but my wallpaper is showing in Full HD. Only webbrowsers are in 1080p, so i can watch youtube videos in full hd. If i want to set 1920x1080p resolution in DP and set to fullscreen, it looks like game is going out of my display. When I screenshoted in game with F12 it sshoted full screen. But I see only 60% of this sshoted picture ingame. Idk whats wrong, i just reinstalled windows, cuz my laptop is based for windows 8 and i had w7 + some weird lags in dp and other games, so i reinstalled it to windows 8.1. Drivers installed, updated. Windows updated. No idea whats wrong, please help. Screens added.

First screen in game is - how it sshot my game.
Second screen in game is - how i see it in game.

is it still happening? Did you install DP fresh or transfer over the files. If so that tou did transfer over the files, delete your config file and reinstall. Or completely install DP(newly) in a different directory(location).

This is kinda a guess, but:

Right click your shortcut, click Properties, go to this tab and try putting a tick next to "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"

I reinstalled it back to windows7 cuz i tried everything possible. Even downgrade drivers, deleting them and replacing older versions, installing the newest versions, or even from CD what was packet with laptop, tried thru HDMI connect to another display, and a lot of stuff. I will ask on windows support if my windows 8 can be an issue.

What's the actual resolution of your screen?  It looks like you're setting the resolution to something larger than your actual screen.
