Title: Failed Hardware Check (Windows 10 issue?)
Post by: SKEET on September 24, 2015, 07:43:28 PM
I recently wanted to come back and play some DP but I have been running into this recurring issue. Any public server that I join will kick and temp ban me after about 2 minutes citing that I have "failed a hardware check". I have reinstalled numerous times and even re downloaded the install client. I am using the same computer I have used the last few years but a few months ago i upgraded to windows 10. Is there any known compatibility issues between DP and windows 10?? if anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't tried Windows 10 yet myself, but I think other people are running the game with it.  It's possible that Windows or some antivirus software is preventing libraries from loading or deleting files or something.  You might want to give Build 41 a try and see if it has the same issue.

No, I as well recently upgraded to Windows 10. It said I had open GL issues with opening DP and wouldn't let me play. Therefore, I switched back to windows 7 because I couldn't resolve the issue.

Hey guys,

I am having the same issue on windows 10 running Build 41. Has anyone found a solution other then reverting back to windows 7?

Thanks in advance!

Hi. Try to run it using compatibility settings. Use for example win7 as value.

I tried running the compatibility trouble shooting program and tested each change it made but still no luck :/ I was able to send the report to Microsoft so we will see if anything happens on that end.
