Title: Terrain?

ok, i can make basic maps and stuff, but i have no experience in terrain editing, i was wondering if there is any good way to make terrain, ive heard of rawscape, but have no clue how to use it.  :-\

You could use a program to generate the terrain for you, but i think its better to just do it yourself.
Its not that hard, you just need to make triangles, move the corners up or down to connect them all, and you got a fairly nice looking terrain.  ;)

Nem's 3D Terrain Generator is the best! Requires .NET framework 2 I think.
It exports to Quake 1 .map but you import it into Quark into a new Quake 2 map using the insert any map command in the menus.

It's much, much better to make terrain yourself. Terrain generators = very high r_speeds. And 3 day long compiles.

Yeah? I try to do small 4x4 tgen .map files at a time, and tie them all together at the end.
