I have know idea how to test a map u made for paintball2.how?
-
Export/compile it to a .bsp file, then play on it. Search the forums for the tutorials on how to do this, the answer is there.
-
is there a program for that or somthing?
-
no offense, but you shouldent be allowed to map
-
y?
-
how do u export or compile it to bsp?
-
i started trying to map only today!

Wow, triple post. Please use the 'Modify' button if you want to add to what you said, or change it.
Anyway, please read all the threads on learning to map before making a new one about it. It's a subject we already have enough threads about, we don't need more.

Earlier i tried runing the .map file with pball2 wich was before i posted this topic now i can't use the converter with my map because i can't get the run with file thing to come up. any suggestions?
-
Read the .txt file on installing BSP for pball in the BSP folder. That should tell you what you need to change to get it to work.
-
thanks but it didn't help.
-
Could you be more specific with what your problem is, then?
-
the .map file is set to run with paintball2 i need it to run with the converter for making it bsp
-
can anyone help me set the directeries for bsp please?
-
It should come with a readme or manual of some sort, look in there for the info.
Its pre-configured to run from C:\bsp\
-
to test a map without spending like an hour compiling, go to export by clicking qbsp-nofill in the export menu
then, c:bsp/quake2/mapfiles and there will be a file in there called yourmapname.bsp (whatever you named your map) then, paste this file into the c:/games/paintball2/pball/maps or wherever you have paintball installed. then, your map should be in the maplist. (pasting the .map file in the folder will do nothing, you have to use the .bsp file)
as for the directories, make sure the .map file you are loading to bsp is saved in the "mapfiles" folder i mentioned earlier. otherwise, bsp will refuse to export it
-
If BSP is set correctly it should copy it for you and then run paintball2 with it.

hiw do u look at the enity properties?
