I'm just starting to start playing again. so i join a server and look around and i don't remember anyone there. has it really been that long since i got counter strike? if anyone changed their name or uses a dif name here then in game can you post it here or message me it so i know who is who. i remember when i quit for like 2 years when i came back i still remembered some people that played.

hey excalibur, you prolly won't remember me (i started 2years ago as "DemoN"), but if you play on pubs, you won't find anyone, you used to play with. Nearly all the "oldschool" players just hang around on mIRC and playing matches.

I have been playing since it was motm "mod of the month" on planet quake. back when it was a quake 2 mod. so like what 10 years now. but i took a break in like 98 till like 2000, then again the last like 9 months.

if you see me now my name is [HF]Excalibur its a clan im starting up with just some close friends and maybe some good players if you want to try out. just pm me. site comming soon. oh and [HF] stands for HELLS FIRE.

I thought it had been longer too but the game was 8 years old August of 98 according to one of Jitspoes posts to this thread: http://dpball.com/forums/index.php?topic=2855.0

You might remember me as MuTiL8ToR from my Quake 2 days...

yea i remember mutil8tor. and it just feels like 10 years but yea 8 sounds about right. its funny some guy last night called me a noob and said dude i have been playing for like 2 years now. i cracked up when my and my bro said 8 years

You'll find some really annoying creatures reaping havok on the DP community these days but there are still a few old schoolers around.  Anyway, Welcome back to the game...
