It's a driver error.  I'm removing the message in the next version.

Title: New version, WHEN?
Post by: jackal - CZ on September 21, 2006, 01:22:05 AM
According to my question yesterday (Glimp_EndFrame - SwapBuffers failed). When can I expect new version?

Beeeeeeee patient. A global login system takes time, especially when you only have one person working on it.

I am patient, but when you play on-line without chat, you are disadvantaged.  :-\

Update drivers, see if that works. It is a driver issue, after all.

I updated my drivers 3 months ago, My card isn't OpenGL compatible so it won't work.

I'm being patient but It's hard trying to be active in the clan community if you cannot talk to people in game (thats why tbc is dead) but when it comes out, it comes out, I'll just be waiting until then.

There is always irc, or vent/teamspeak, or aim, or the billion other chat alternatives.

i´ve got the same problem as F3AR. And "the billion other chat alternatives" are unavailing when everybody use chat

I use both irc and aim as I have seen you on there Sprinkle (I'm usually on as F_e_a_r) but that is comparing apples to oranges. as yes it is a chat program people use, but I am not going to minimize my game to talk to people.

What kind of card do you have?

You don't have to minimize anything with real time voice chat programs like Ventrilo and Team Speak

Anyway, you don´t see chat from other players. And when you don´t have problem like we have, than you use chat because it´s the lightest way...

all that matters about my graphics card is that it is not OpenGL compatible, So as long as I have that card I'll have that error message.

I'm cheap

Cards that support OpenGL enough for the game to work are also cheap. Not high-end cards, but they'll work.

That's not a real excuse, someone pays your internet bill. Steal $20 from them and pick up an nvidia Riva TNT2, or something old like that. I got one of those for AGP for $20 about 3 years ago, so you shouldn't have any problem with affording a card that is OpenGL compatible.

Or maybe I just don't want to?
