Title: How can I make crosshairs?
Post by: {appy Hamper on November 01, 2006, 02:26:10 PM
anyone have the link to, or could anyone tell me about making crosshairs?  I saw one referenced, but can't find it.

I found this one, but it is no longer active:  http://dpball.com/forums/index.php?topic=1269.0

i got one crosshair to work, but i couldnt duplicate the output. i dont know why and im getting frustrated.
this is what i do know:
it needs to be an indexed pcx image,
dimensions of 16x16, 32x32...

im using wally, and the exporter for pcx doesnt work right (i dont think) cuz when i take a RGB pcx image and try to export it to an indexed pcx (im using a palette from the other crosshairs) it spits out an all black image. what am i doing wrong?

and the links in the thread listed above are all dead.

I've never tried to create a pcx file with wally, but you need to have the correct palette file.  I have the palettes somewhere on my website: www.jitspoe.com.
