yeah basics about the game physics can be found in this thread: http://dpball.com/forums/index.php?topic=2053.0

mirc can be downloaded at www.mirc.com (http://www.mirc.com)

for maps there are a few websites that are helpful.
1. http://dpball.com/files/maps/ (http://dpball.com/files/maps/)
2. http://rockon.dajoob.com/ (http://rockon.dajoob.com/)

hope these help a little.
