Yes? No? Maybe so? The general stratigy with a full 300 round hopper is to never let go of the mouse button. Also, the newbies steal all the ammo :) Should we just completely eliminate the 300 round hopper?

not that my opinion matters, but if your trying to make this game more playable for newbies..... now all of a sudden you remove all the newbie equiment, whats next?

Goose: The idea is to make it so people don't just sqat in one spot and spray for 5 mins because they can +attack for ~ 20 mins before running out of equipment.

Yes excrement can the 100 and 300 all together in real paintball it is 200
lets just have 1 hopper for more uniformity
add compressed air and maybe an angel or a few of the newer markers on the market
O and excrementcan that 7 gram co2 and
and the stingray and pump
........
game only at this time needs 3 markers
a spyder, automag
and the cocker
maybe upgrade to compressed air ( approx 1400 shots per tank)
add in the angel and a few other newer markers
its lame to have the 7 gram and get 13 shots then run out of air..
OR
do like other mods do with a menu system to actually pick your equipment before hand??
would solve the no marker co2 paint issue

unless u got a god dam speed cheet u have to sit back and wait for a teamate to get plugged .. then hope to be the first to his marker..
or your dust in 6 seconds with yer PGP
if yur going to waste time on 2.0? to try to revive a mod
take yer time and revive it with common sense things that would be greatly appericiated..

maybe at least start the players with the tippman or the spyder and a 12 ounce tank ??
ive noticed some of the newer maps you spawn like that
and that seems real nice

I definitely want to keep the low-end guns in -- adds to the challenge, rather than having one big sprayfest. It's just so satisfying when you take out an entire team using just the trracer. :) As for picking equipment out beforehand... I've never really liked how that works in other mods, and I'm trying to avoid making changes that are too drastic. I think stuff like that will have to be reserved for .. a new game ;) ;)

I think the game is just fine the way it is. The hopper wouldn't make a big difference though, but davew: be quiet, and go play Half-Life paintball, kthxbei.

Taking out hoppers guns etc would greatly change the mod... try and keep it as close to the same as possible just new textures and anti cheat stuff would be cool and any other sexy things you can do with the q2soucre code. Making it standalone would be very nice too.
My sentiments echo clearly.

You shouldnt take out anything. Only add new stuff. You should actually add more hoppers even, just not any that are bigger. If you eliminate the 300 round hopper all the newbies will still just hold down the trigger and only end up running out faster and actively try to steal ammo more often. This is where i say you need to impliment a feature where your gun gets jammed after shooting too many too fast (varying depending on the gun(which there should be more of to so as to have more variety in implimenting this among other features)) so as to stop abuse. Then you cant shoot for like 5 seconds.

I disagree with Davew. If you keep the gameplay the same, then you should just add more of everything, so as to give the game more variety and appeal. Double the amount of markers, for instance. Add more upgrades available for them. But keep it arcade and not getting to realistic. On the other hand, if you do take Davew's advice, then i think you would need to change the gameplay significantly for it to work, cuz otherwise the game would become too repetive (which it already might be as it is). And it seams that everyone wants the gameplay to stay the same, so therefore you should just add more stuff.
