Might not work in game, pple might not like it but i think it would be cool , to have small particle trails or a skewed longer ball model.. to make the balls path more visible... kinda to creat a tracer shot..... done some testing and it creates a nice visual effect in large maps..

What kind of testing?
-
Dont know any coding to try the particle balls... but on a seperate install a got a skewed ball model to load and played some lan games,, couldnt get textures to work right.. but ball was more visible and . . it doesnt matter how small or big the model is the "hit" area is still the same.... you could have a ball the size of a basketball and it wdnt matter.. but if the ball is just longer it really wdnt matter... i just thought this wld be cool.. like when someone is unloading across a path and you cant c the splatter on the other side .. u walk right into it.. this makes it more visible.plus in big maps . it looks like desert storm excrement.. even if just about 5 random particles followed closely around the ball it would look bad ass!

cool. the "scewed ball model" thing might not work, since in some servers, balls can bounce.
-
i thought that was just a glich (the bouncing balls).
-
Good point on the bouncing balls... but particle trail should work.. ,,, just a thought..

That idea is already in the que, motion blurred paintballs for better visibility.

Yeah, it's somewhere on the todo list, I think. :)
