Someone want to give this map some decent lighting? or give me some ideas as what I could do for the lighting, all I did was change the _sun_angle
let me know and ill give you the .map
-
It looks like the map isn't vised, causing the hard shadows. That or you have no ambient light. Also looks like you need to change the _sun_angle by about 180 degrees so the shadows go away from the sun, not toward it.
-
Just a quick question, how would you go about finding a good angle for _sun_angle?
-
I added an angles command in the new version that will tell you this, but since that's not released yet, here they are:
unit1_: 72 -25
pbsky1: 198 -65
pbsky2: 150 -34
pbsky3: 85 -38
pbsky4: 90 -30
riverscape1: 194 -26
arctic1: 35 -30
-
Sweet. Thanks.

I used the preferred info for pbsky1 but im getting blocky shadows.
-
jitspoe let me send you this .map or someone with lighting experience and fix my sT00pid sHaDoWs

The _sun_diffuse light setting helps with blocky shadows, as does running a final compile (which includes the -extra parameter for extra light sampling).
