i wanted an mp3 player too and my parents decided to get me one for christmas
they got me and ipod copy, called HyFai,
its was like $100, 2 gigs, and can play videos in avi format

and im still considering buying an ipod just because of the memory issue, i have over 15 gigs of music XD

Where did you get those calculations from? It's around 100 days of music, some of the bitrates are off and stuff.
I've scrobbled some, I drop bands onto my playlist when I want to hear them and shuffle them up.

Yeah...I listen to Manson when I play Quake, and I play Quake a lot...so that answers any questions about why that's my mainly played stuff. lol

Half of that HDD is probably dead bands and garage bands. =P

I can't see spending the extra money when I always have my phone/organizer, etc. with me.
