I have my ports open and did all the stuff with the guide, but my server ping is always 999 or around those numbers. I have dsl with verizon and i think it might be slow. If my server has high ping such as 999, will other people be able to see it or not?
Also, how would I be able to lower my ping?

Running servers off of home connections is generally bad. You can only have a few players present, and it tends to be laggy. People should still be able to see it. The "999" ping usually just means the server isn't responding. Often times you won't be able to see your own server from the machine the server is running on. I'm not sure why that is. Make sure you're forwarding ports on your router as well.

I think that has to do with how it's set up.

I reforwarded my ports, and right after I did that, I had one person come into the server. Once I got in, it was so laggy that I couldn't even move.
I dont think anybody can see it now though.

I fixed the lagging part now, and people can see it, but for some reason no one could straffe jump. In my server config, tripping is at 0, so I dont know what else it could be.

Sounds like you enabled air acceleration.

Do I set it at "0"? If your supposed to then, it works for me now, thanks alot.
