Title: Exclusions in menus

Is there a way for the select widget to exclude or ignore files. Like a menu that list all demos except the auto recorded? Thanks.

PS. Jits, I like the fix of the blank select widget flipping out. :)

I don't think so, unless there's some crazy file listing wildcard I don't know about.

I think you could do it if you renamed all the demos you wanted to show up, and then wrote the command to only list those files...

or you could just do the same thing we did in the siege and favs maps categories, using separate directories.  The files would all still have to be in the demo file, but you could copy/paste them anywhere else you want.

That would completely defeat my purpose: an option to show all demos except the auto recorded ones. This way would be much less time consuming, which is why I'm asking if it is possible in the first place. :P

I haven't seen the auto-recorded ones.  Are they saved by the date?  as opposed to the ones you name when you record?

Yea, for some reason the version in the dorms doesn't have the auto record thing (except mine :) ), but this it the format:

Quote

auto_20070306_144657_pb2dm1.dm2

What it means:

"auto"
Should be obvious

"20070306"
Date. This one is: 03-06-2007

"144657"
Time. 24 hour. This one is: 2:46.57 P.M. (I think)

"pb2dm1"
Map. (duh)

can you use variables in the middle?

Something like setting the list command to "auto_$.dm2"
