Title: Should I?
Post by: drater^ on March 31, 2007, 10:10:44 AM
Hey everyone :D

I'm new to the forum, I haven't started playing, because I don't know if I should.

So I just wanted to know some of your opinions on the game.

Graphics:
Sound:
Gameplay:
Online:

Etc...Talk about anything you remember, either good or bad, about the game.

I was also wondering where I could find the System Requirements for the game.

Thanks in advance,

drater^

System requirements? Low, very low:

CPU: 300 Mhz
Ram: 128 Mb
OS: Win 98 or better
Internet: Dial-up (DSL or Cable is much better though)

Graphics: depends, low-res textures- there ok, hi-res textures- much much better. And I cannot forget the reflective water.
Sound: also depends. This is because you can change the sounds to what ever you want and it will not be considered cheating (with some exceptions).
Gameplay: very fast paced, making it very fun.
Online: well, this is an online game, there is no 'single player' mode.

Hope that helped :)

I'd say even less than 128. Just download the game and see for yourself, there's no way you'll get an objective opinion off of the game's forum.

Yea, 128 does sound a little high. Oh, I know why. That was for the server, not client. Oops.

Let's see..

I'm on dialup
640 meg memory
16 meg graphics card
P3-650 ( dual procs of course)

Game plays just fine.  I just cant use reflective water.

And when I suck ( which is most of the time) I blame it on my hardware and internet connection :p

Graphics: 6/10 (Quake 3 being 5/10, HL2 being 9/10)
The graphics are, in my opinion, better than Quake 3.
Sound: 4/10
Not it's strong point, but it has it.
Gameplay: 9/10
Original idea, it's paint ball... jumping high and fast can be a little tricky
Online: 7/10
Not a lot of cheaters, there is however an annoying wait to get maps if you don't have them.  Painfully slow download times.
Community/Forum: 8/10
If you ever have questions, most topics are replied to at least 3-4 time a day, which means if you do have a problem it cant be fixed quick.
