Title: WHY WON"T M SERVER START!!!!
Post by: SKEET on April 13, 2007, 12:06:31 PM: Hey I really need help, I made private server but Idk how to get it to start up, the black boxpops up butthen nothing, is it because of my router and if so, what do I do about the darn thing.

Do you mean nothing shows up in the DOS box at all?
Or does all the text pop up and then nothing happens? If this is the case then it might actually be working.

If you have just "+set dedicated 1" in the target field it will start a dedicated server, and just sit there. You have to tell it to load a map in order to actually start up. You would do that by having "+set dedicated 1 +map shattered" in the target field. And no, the map does not matter.
