i found this cool engine mod sort of like quake2max thought i might mention it here

Nice menu gfx and stuff, but it doesn't look like a whole lot was added to the engine (beyond the pretty much standard engine beef-ups).

right now after what i've read its basically a transformation of quake2 in quake3 the updates are phenominal
