Don't use the Linux version. :D
-
It works fine for me, run it from a terminal (konsole?) to see what's up with it.
-
How are you executing it? ./paintball2 should work fine.
-
i tried double clicking in konqeror. It's flagged as executable so...
Do you have to be in an X shell?
I'll try command line later when I reboot
thanks

I noticed that didn't work, either. I'm not sure why. I'm not a linux person. I guess you just have to run it from the shell. It would be nice if there were a way to make it so it could just be double clicked on.
-
It launched from a konsole window, but with no sound. Then a few minutes into a bot match on localhost I was kicked for hardware failure. Even after I pried my wallhack off the video card.

Lol, same here.
I can launch it fine with double-clicking it in Nautilus, so you're probably having a KDE problem if you can't just run the binary by double-clicking it.
I have audio though.
Try installing libsdl1.2debian-all
and then change "snd_driver" to "alsa" ingame.
/snd_driver alsa

is it snd_driver or snd_device ?
I'll check later
off to my lil' brothers batchelor party now.
edit
no pictures, no strippers, just sme friends and booze
A very good way to end the night early is to lace the man's mug (taped to his hand) with very hot sauce after 6 hours of heavy drinking. I thought I lost him for a bit, but he just crawled into the alley to write in pain and curse my name.
but Ikept him out of jail so... good night

snd_driver, the other command is snddevice and I have it set to default.
Take lots of pictures, mkay? ;)
