Title: No one can get into my server
Post by: Fullmetal_Steeb on June 18, 2007, 11:46:27 PM: When my friends try to connect to my server now, after they could do it until just recently, it just gives the "connecting *IP*" message over and over again, as if they are entering an IP that doesn't connect to anything paintball related.

Also, the server doesn't appear on the list anymore. I should clarify: It does appear for me, but not for any other users.

Another interesting fact is that the start of these server problems coincided with a *mysterious* change of my IP address, and since then, my friends have tried to connect to the new address and old address. Also, although the IP is changed, it still says the same thing under IP when i post on this board, even though that IP is no longer mine. At least my computer says it isn't.

Also, my firewall was down when they tried to connect, so its not that, however, the firewall was actually turned ON when my friends could connect, and I have tried it both ways now. I haven't changed any settings from the time when it worked before.

Any help will be greatly rewarded, with ca$h. [mumble] in the next life [/mumble]

Post by: jitspoe on June 19, 2007, 01:07:27 PM: I don't see your IP on http://dplogin.com/serverlist.php at all. Make sure you have setmaster dplogin.com in your config (and that it's getting executed).

Post by: KiLo on June 19, 2007, 06:45:24 PM: Try this, even though you have setmaster dplogin.com in your config enter it directly into the console (the DOS box) and see if that helps. I have to do that everytime I start my server.

Post by: jitspoe on June 19, 2007, 07:54:19 PM: "192.168.15.2" is your internal (LAN) IP, so that won't work, and your external IP is "24.165.156.127", so "24.165.148.163" won't work either.

Edit: I see 24.165.156.127:27910 on the server list, but I can't connect to it.
