Title: ID
Post by: Woodsman on June 28, 2007, 06:09:44 PM
I know how to toggle the id but is there a way to turn it off permanently or something because every time I join a game I  have to type it in and therefore waste time

You can do it on your config I think.
Or type 'seta id 1'

set id 1 means that it is on. You need to set it to 0 if you want it off.

It's not a setting.  It's a command.  You don't like being able to see who people are?  If you want it to be a client-side setting vote for it in the 2007 feature vote thread.

Apparently you can't as of right now. Just bring down the console and type 'id' to toggle it whenever you want.

You'll have to delete it from your config file, or just use "cmd id" instead of "id".

You can always bind this to a key to make things quicker:

bind k "cmd id"

How do I do that

bind k cmd id

If you mean this Woodsman, just type that in console.

Open up your console and type    bind <key> "cmd id"      . you then are able to push the key you binded "cmd id" to and it does the same as typing "cmd id" manually into the console.

Or modify the menus so when you connect to a server, or create a server it gets executed.
