Title: help me plz
Post by: skitzo on June 29, 2007, 10:58:22 AM: ok so im down my grandmas house and i installed build 19 but whenever i start it up i can play for like 5 minutes then the game shuts down and i hav to restart the comp

1. Hold the Windows key (between CTRL and ALT) and hit 'R'
2. Type in "dxdiag" in the dialog box that appears
3. Retrieve system info and give to us.

Post by: jitspoe on June 29, 2007, 07:11:06 PM: Hm, if it has a core2, it must be fairly recent. It doesn't say what graphics card is on there, though. Might just be an onboard. This will give a little more information:

Start up paintball2 and type the following at the console:
gl_debug 1
vid_restart
condump skitzo_gl

Now exit and go into your paintball2/pball directory. There should be a skitzo_gl.txt file in there. Attach that to your post or copy/paste the contents here.

If it's ANYTHING like the GT4xxxx series, then it has very good graphics onboard. Are you sure the model number is correct Skitzo?

Post by: jitspoe on July 02, 2007, 01:45:20 PM: Hm, Intel Broadwater G. I'm not familiar with that. When you say the game "shuts down", do you mean it freezes up or just exits? You might try setting cl_sleep to 1 and/or cl_maxfps to 100. It might be overheating.

it freezes up and then wen i press another button it exits.

This is how to retrieve the video card information:

1. Hold the Windows key (between CTRL and ALT) and hit 'R'

4. Retrieve DISPLAY info and give to us.
