the first time i logged in was with my paintball 2 name (uberconnor). After that i could not play paintball 2 anymore because it said that I hacked. is ther any way somebody or I could fix that? Also my friend got caught hacking and is banned, he downloaded paintball 2 onto my computer. so he used the same method of downloading it onto my computer as he did on his. So is there any way that me and him, as users, could be linked to each other causing it to say that i hacked?
-
If your friend got caught hacking from your computer then that is why you can't play. And if he hacked from his own computer then you most likely got caught by a hostmask ban.
-
what is a hostmask ban? by the way thank you
-
It's basically when jitspoe bans a ISP and/or a range of IP adresses.
-
o ok that was probably what happend. thank you very much
-
If you PM jitspoe and tell him the story then he will probably lift the hostmask ban.
-
What's the exact message it gives you at the console?
-
in response to jitspoe:
the first one is
you hack - you are dismissed!!!
stay a long time and have fun

Seems to me that you were able to connect to a Graffiti Pub.
-
Heh, those are the message of the days. I guess I can see how people would get those confused. That's not the reason you were kicked, though. The reason for the kick should be below that. It might be easier just to use the condump command. Connect to a server, and after it kicks you, type "condump kickreason". Then go into c:\games\paintball2\pball and copy the text out of kickreason.txt or just attach kickreason.txt to your post.

this is what notepad has. i don't know exactly what you want but it might be in here. if it is not the tell me:

There is your problem. You are not logging in correctly.
-
Ahh, ok.
You need to login when you start the game. I believe there's a video of it somewhere I'll see if I can find it, in the mean time, go to 'Setup' on the main menu and setup your Global Login profile with your correct name and password and login so that you can play.

thank you i can now play again. sorry to put all of you through this trouble. and thank you kilo, jitspoe, zorchenhimer, and yoots
