Before I start, this doesnt cause me not to be able to play, but is slightly annoying. Anyway, whenever i start the game, when it is logging in, it freezes, the login sound plays over and over for about 3 minutes, and then enters the game. It did it for b17, it was fixed in b18 and is doing it again in b19... is there someth8ing i can do?>
-
As Jitspoe said, the login server is getting pounded, so maybe its just taking too long to log in.
-
That is a good point Cobo, however what explains the b17 problem?
-
Wasnt there a change from 17 to 18?
I think Jitspoe changed to UDP or something.
-
Perhaps that is it... I don't know, when he says it freezes and plays for three minutes (which would be 6 times longer than my longest login time) I just think it may be something else...
-
Dial-up? :P
-
Ahh beat me to it, I was just thinking that. Now we'll wait and see if he does... :D
-
The UDP version (18+) doesn't freeze the game while contacting the login server. It simply leaves the connecting message up until it gets a response.
-
No i got cable, not dialup, and jits, it freezes for me...
-
Can you take a screenshot of exactly where it's freezing?
-
yea ok, ill get it uploaded later tonight
Edit: Ok i attached the file, thats where the game freezes.
-
Try completely disabling all your firewalls, and then try.
-
I dont have any firewalls at all, never have.
-
Try clicking on cancel, then delete everything from the password textbox and write your password again, then try to log in.
EDIT: Since its freezing, I assume there's a cvar that controls the autologin, so you should change it.

Ok, I fixed it, ^^, it was actually zorchs menu flag animation that was lagging bigtime, but now because he removed it in his last update = No more problem =P thanks for trying to help anyway guys.
