Title: What's your intended major?
Post by: y00tz on July 24, 2007, 02:59:34 PM: I just finished buying books and I was wondering whether or not Nick had actually switched his major to comp sci, so why not open the question up to everyone...

What was your major / is your intended major?

Instead, I'm gonna shoot for a computer science certificate thing that only takes 3 semesters. I'm not sure where I'm gonna go after the 3rd semester, but if I go to a 4 year school I will major in Computer Science.

Man I really need to talk to you sometime... I'm starting my second year as a comp sci major, and I really don't know what I can be with this bloody degree. I started as a BA with a minor in business management, now I've switch it to a BS with an undeclared minor. Everyday, more and more, I think I want to be a software architect... am I getting the wrong degree? :D

I'll be able to drop out in October.
And then take classes elsewhere, maybe Computer Science.

Post by: jitspoe on July 26, 2007, 08:17:06 PM: I can't say I have the most exciting job in the world, but it gets the bills paid. I'm in a very niche market (data conversion services), so I'm not sure if I can give you much career related advice.

Edit: Though I do have a friend who just started working for Harris down in FL. He seems to enjoy it. I think it's more web related, though. ASP .NET and all that jazz.
