Using latest DP client on cheapo Dell Laptop
Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family card..
512mb ddr.
Can move forward/backward in game smoothly. When looking/strafe or trying to aim the game becomes very choppy.
Any tips other than to throw this POS Dell away?

Make sure that your FPS is not capped. Try using this command to help: cl_maxfps 0
-
Just checked and it is set to 0. Still the same old thing.
-
Also try cl_locknetfps 0 and gl_swapinterval 0.
-
Everything is set accordingly. Just did a fresh install.
I'm currently downloading the latest drivers, although I already have them. Going to give that another try.
Any other potential fixes KiLo? I appreciate your help.

Updated drivers, same issue. Ugh
-
What kind of framerate are you getting? (cl_drawfps 1). Also, what's your cl_cmdrate set to? Try 60. It may just be your mouse, too.
-
I found that a medium-high dpi causes great instabilty.
-
Could be something as simple as a good mousepad :)
-
I sure wish it were my mouse or mousepad. I've tried both wireless optical and wired ball mouse & had the same results, I don't have this issue in Q3A either.
Jitspoe, framerate fluctuates from as high as 180fps to 42fps.

Take a screenshot of your netgraph. Not really sure if that has anything to do with it though.
-
cl_shownetgraph 1 to show it I think.
Try pressing cl_show or cl_draw and then tab to get a list of options.

i always use netgraph 1 ..
