Title: how do you ladder jump??

i watch ppl ladder jump all the time, and i ask them how to do it but all they is double jump off of it. well i've tried double jumping off ofit but i cant get it to work. will somebody explain in greater detail how to ladder jump??

I think I know what you mean, but maybe you could provide an example of a map which it's done in?  I think an example would be to get onto the window'd tower in the dry bases of jump...

There's a spot near the top of the ladder that I just stop.  Then I push jump again and it gives you a little extra height, allowing you to get onto an object that you normally wouldn't be able to get on.  I don't know the specifics, it's just a matter of getting a feel for it.

the ones i have a hardtime with are on dop jump and fork jump

I think the easiest way to do it is to get up near the top of the ladder and just tap the jump key rapidly until you get a feel for exactly where to do it.

the way i learned is like jits said. i just keep pressing jump as i climb the ladder. you might not do it perfectly at first but once you see that you can do it, you'll gain confidence. if you need help use the server browser in your dp folder and find me. i'll be more than happy to try and teach you the jump map.
i'm not great but i can get to 13 by myself.

alll ya need is the jump button twice at the very top

I just look straight at the ladder and go up and jump and it usually works but that could be a noob way. : )

you have to run up  the ladder and at b4 u hit top of ladder look down and jump

Just practise, thats what i did. I usually look straight at the ladder and just keep jumping rapidly.
