Jitspoe,

We are trying (again) to think of ways to get more clans into IRC.

Is it possible to

a. Rename the IRC link on the site to "DP Chat"? Those who do not use IRC may not know what IRC means.

b.change the java applet to direct to gg-center?

c. change the url for the chat applet to something simple such as dplogin.com/chat?  That way we could more easily promote it.

i think jitspoe is too faithful to etg to change it. perhaps he could make it so it opens to bothe etg and gg-center

I think promoting the site link www.dpball.com would atract more players, simple things like that could be the answer to much more DP Clanning

The issue in this case is not more clanning per se but more clans in irc where they can then find scrims easily

I fully support this idea. I think it would be very beneficial. Hopefully Jits will make the changes you suggested because it could easily and simply improve the clan scene.

I've updated the link name.  For a quick url, just use digitalpaint.org/irc.  While I was at it, I went ahead and made GGC the official network.  That's long past due.

yah the past couple days i have been using the IRC program on the site to test some scripts. and it was becoming quite annoying having to connect to GGC from ETG.

Great work!  The forums layout needs to have the link changed as well.

I think that the GGC staff have done a wonderful job listening to our needs and pro-actively making services and organizing and marketting the tournament just to show their appreciation.  It's nice to see them get the recognition they deserve.
