Just to be clear could you post exactly what this thread is about? I think I get the idea but I'm not positive I am right for sure.

Now that you say that S8N that makes sense but I was thinking more along the lines of having a Vent Server to work out problems between people.

i got more lines than a wellfare office
In your head.

(You nor I have ever been to a wellfare office and stood in line for help. Or I could be completely wrong, like usual. Hope I understood you correctly  :-[ )

I was talking about all of the above. Its an offer to get to know each other and learn. Instead of being asses.

Man you gotta get the newest version.  The versions are free and use less memory and system resources.

Even myself, a newb, knows that the old versions are the best... unlimited users, etc.

I don't know if it just me, but I would go crazy hearing 50 people talking in one channel at a time.

Don't the cheapest vents hold 200 people.  Not sure of the rate but it could be free if you have your own server.  I doubt they take up much resources.

The "free" Ventrilo servers are restricted to 8 clients.  Providing a download link or running an outdated server is grounds for copyright infringement.  Say I run a server (I do) and would like to run a Ventrilo server (I do) and would even be willing to pay a few dollars for a license (I am), I cannot because I need to be running a legitimate hosting company with a minimum 1000 client connection license.  That's after they do an extensive review of my website and company to ensure that I will uphold the integrity of their brand...  Not to mention their Linux client has been a work in progress (with no beta) for years.  The entire company/product is a joke.
