Title: Best way to do terrain...

Making terrain out of brushes is a female dog and a half, is there a good way to do it? What about a program that has the ability to do this? Anyone feel free to throw in some tips they've learned.

There's a program called gensurf.  I also made a program called rawscape, which is somewhere on http://www.planetquake.com/jitspoe -- it's not as polished, though.
