...yeah just take the sounds folder from b16 and replace the ones in your current build.

Completed Maps / Re: Kung Fu - Final Release 14/08/2007
« on: October 16, 2008, 10:51:03 AM »
Doc you lost all my respect for this map by hosting it on bad Rapidshare.

So I mirrored it here.

Sorry for the ridiculous time lapse here, but I was wondering if I could get a working mirror for this map, since Kilo's is not on anymore (I can't use rapidshare)...

Cheater Reports and Bans / Re: Speedhacker Zaltekk

like an authentication code that game developers put on each individual game to prevent the discs being copied and used.  However, this would mean that a cheater would just have to download a fresh install every time he was banned.  So, not much change, other than making them go through the trouble...

Server Discussion / Re: seeing server settings
« on: October 15, 2008, 11:29:58 AM »
shouldn't there be some way I could implement a reader that reads how high I jump, and how fast the paint is moving, etc?

I think this should be a feature vote if there's no easy way.  I see it as a lot more useful than typing "topspeed" or "speedometer" to find out how fast I'm moving...

Server Discussion / seeing server settings
« on: October 15, 2008, 09:40:14 AM »
Is there any command that shows you the current gun temp, ball speed, or gravity (maybe even gren counts, elim times, and bot skill) when you're in someone else's server?

I could obviously figure out a lot of that while playing, but a readout would be handy...

"nope" what?

"nope," we don't need aliases?
"nope," we can't use "cmd;cmd;cmd..." in a single bind?
"nope," I'm not really on fire?
"nope," but I'll give you a $100?
...

I assume you're referring to the 1st answer, to which I say, "since when?!!" and "why didn't I know about this sooner?!!"  :o

can you give me an example of how you would use "cmd;cmd"

If you mean something like:

bind "mouse1" "+attack;+movedown"

I'm pretty near certain that doesn't work.  At least it didn't in the older builds (maybe that got changed after I stopped actively writing scripts)...

Can you have multiple binds on 1 key?  ??? I heard you can but no one told me how.. please help? :-\

you have to use an ALIAS:

bind "mouse1" "duckshoot"
alias duckshoot "+attack;+movedown"

all you wanted to know and more about writing scripts:

Help and Support / Re: Bad crosshair aiming
« on: October 03, 2008, 08:51:30 AM »
pretty sure the crosshair is just a picture on your HUD.  The paintballs will always go to the center of your HUD, whether there's a crosshair there or not.

If you're having trouble finding the center, then just compare it (maybe copy/paste it) with an accurate crosshair in MSpaint.

here's your reminder:

check into exec-ing a config for using actual keys in your map menus.

pretty sure we just explained the joke.  unless he was actually serious (I wasn't), which I sincerely hope he was joking.

carbine is a little smaller so your less likely to get hit, opposed to the automag and autococker

...yeah, and the mag is shiny and less camouflaged than the carbine.

Paintball 2 Discussion / Re: Is a carbine better than an automag?

I usually prefer the carbine, but that's because I usually play on larger maps where I need more accuracy at long range.  Automags are hard to beat on small maps though.  (I didn't realize the carbine accuracy was higher than the autococker.)

yeah, works now, but not well.  It's seems kinda random as to how far it turns.  Would that have a different tweaking between computers?

how can i get this to work for me?

...referring to the quickturn script from herron.  That one doesn't work for me either.  It just shows up as a message of "4 waits."  What's wrong herron/anyone who knows?

2 questions:

bind "$" "cvar_inc hand 1 0 2"

can you bind shift-4 to something or do you have a separate $ key?
I noticed you have a bind on 4 as well.

Help and Support / Re: LAN question
« on: November 12, 2007, 02:12:04 AM »
I have a new problem now however.  Since my last attempt at that, somehow the password got changed for my user on my PC.  Now I can't even log into windows.  I even tried booting in safe mode, but that still requires a password.  Anybody have ideas on that one??

the current hard drive is (brace yourself) about 12 gig.  Would it work to set that one to slave, and re-install Windows on a new (and of course bigger) hard drive?  -more clearly-  would I be able to access the old saved files etc?

XP to XP worked fine for me.  However Vista to XP was not so successful.  You also need to set a static IP if I'm not mistaken.

...so I stand multiply corrected.   :-X   I believe you if you say starcraft supports TCP/IP, I just know that the in-game create LAN game menu says that it needs to be set to IPX.  So that's all I know how to do.  I'll check that maybe on a starcraft forum or something.

did you try an empty password?

Or did someone else set a password?

I'm pretty sure I did try that, but I'll make sure later...
I know nobody else has messed with it, because I'm the only user, and there's no internet connection for someone to hack.
