is it snd_driver or snd_device ?
I'll check later
off to my lil' brothers batchelor party now.

edit
no pictures, no strippers, just sme friends and booze
A very good way to end the night early is to lace the man's mug (taped to his hand) with very hot sauce after 6 hours of heavy drinking.  I thought I lost him for a bit, but he just crawled into the alley to write in pain and curse my name.
but Ikept him out of jail so... good night

It launched from a konsole window, but with no sound.  Then a few minutes into a bot match on localhost I was kicked for hardware failure.  Even after I pried my wallhack off the video card.

Other Stuff / Re: life after death?
« on: May 14, 2007, 10:33:56 AM »
"Life after death" is not the way I would word it. "Life after death" is when your heart stops and the medics revive you.  You know "CLEAR!" "ThWhump"  "Gasp!"

So we need to more clearly define "death."  What criteria do we use for this? Vital signs? (heart beat, breath etc) Brain or nervous system activity? Body temp?  Clearly, medical science has proven that life can, indeed, exist after a brief period of death.  So when does "Death" truly take hold.

Then we need to decide what "Life after" means.  If we use "complete absence of life" as a working definition of "death" there can be none of the one after the other.  If you take an energetic stance, a "soul" if you will, this is harder to prove or even observe.  What about memories? Do these get included in our definition of "life?"

Two of my sources of spiritual inspiration come from works of fiction. The Celestine Prophecy and a quote from comedian Bill Hicks
Quote from: Bill Hicks
Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing ourselves subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is merely a dream and we're an imagination of ourselves

And so my thoughts are: the people we meet in life are part of our existence. Our spiritual energies will meet again in other lives, in other levels of existence, closer to that-thing-called-god.

This may be a little off-topic, but since you're talking about binds etc...

Can I use my ET config setup in PB2?

(oh, and my name doesn't come from PainBall)
thanks

Paintball 2 Discussion / Re: Respawn Time?
« on: May 10, 2007, 10:06:48 PM »
Greetings. Just started playing the other day cause Enemy Territory is drying up and we're looking for a new game to play.

Anyhow... I think 60 seconds is fine.  Like jitspoe said, it's round based. There's no way to eliminate the other team if you respawn quickly.  I look at it as a bonus whenever I get to respawn at all. Means it's a good round, or at least now a total raping.

Plus it gives me a chance to look around and learn the maps, which is REALLY cool that you have normal physics in limbo.  Practice jumps and routes etc.

Good game.  See you around.
