Shockwave, you are so unbelievably pathetic, it never ceases to amaze me.

As for you trolling committee members, go ban more innocent people for "multiple accounts" (which is a laughable offense in itself).

i vote knack locks than deletes all threads that come up with this complaint, you'll get the same response every time. They pay for it they can do what they wish, don't like it find a new server.
So what, we're not allowed to let the community know what kind of admins we are dealing with? Yes, they pay for it (although Bix and Olbaid do not personally pay afaik) and they're free to do what they want, but we are also free to complain and moan about their actions here seeing as we have no other place to do so (they ban you out of their IRC channels too).

And my mistake then Bix, you both were opped when I was in the server, so I just assumed it was you. My bad.

Bix kicks me all the time. Y2J used to kick every clan in the game, but at least he has stopped doing that now. As for Gold, he's just a fat Mississippian, not much you can do about him.

To answer quickly, nope, obviously not. :)
That's not what I meant.  For a European playing on an American server compared to an American playing on a European server... It seems American datacentres are better in this regard because the Europeans always ping lower on our servers than we do on European servers.  Same goes for the Aussies who ping lower on our servers than the European ones. Was just wondering if this had to do with better American infrastructure in regards to datacentres and whatnot.

29
You see Cameron, we Americans enjoy our low ping, just as we enjoy our guns, wasteful lifestyles, overspending, and sheer arrogance. Take one of these away from us and we whine, cry and complain until we get our way. That is the American way.

Furthermore, we believe that ignorance is bliss. We may be ignorant, but hell, at least we're happy.

/endlolcriticism.

On a side note, aren't American servers better for Europeans ping wise? As in, does Europe even have the fios infrastructure that cities such as Dallas, Chicago, Miami, NYC, etc. have?

Don't worry Fitz, we'll get you the modified version soon, then you'll be happy.
You got me brah.

Jump video? My "jump video" was essentially a joke.. Sorry you missed that.

Basically, all er33t did was take a horrible map, retextured it, added way too many crates, and added a few unnecessary jumps here and there. Yep, that's a quality remake right there.

The original was a terrible map. The pbcup version may be better, but it is still crap to a varying degree of terribadness.

the timing would make it really hard to fit 2 matches in a week. (between euro's and us)
The timing isn't that big of a difference... Only people it would really affect are clans with members from the West Coast (s2k?). 5-6 hour differences aren't too bad, plus there's weekends...

As for the Tie map ideas, Bix's proposed idea of having a set amount of tie maps on each server could work. Also, the Home-Away system might work, but that would be a lot of work for er33t? Not sure.

Somebody could just set up an IRC bot that would randomly pick both map and server (or just one). Not sure how hard that would be to script but I suppose it would be "fair".

Server Discussion / Re: Deathmatch stopped working
« on: May 20, 2009, 02:56:27 PM »
Fitz, of course it wont run DM, because it is not supported. It says "1 not in 4", because 4 is the number for CTF. If CTF and DM would be supported it should be 5. Correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't know what the numbers mean; I don't really map. It used to run DM a few builds back, now it just goes to CTF for every DM map that we try (this specific case was Spooks jump map but it does this for almost all my DM maps, including Arm). I guess the question is, If it's not supported, how could we make it "support" it so it will actually play as DM?

I've had the same problem since build 23? I think it was around then.

This is what the server config looks like when I try to load any map as a DM map. I'm guessing Super's console looks similar to that.

I suppose it has something to do with the Bad Gametype message?

I have the same problem with jump maps running off my home server. I set the mode for DM and it always runs TDM for some reason... can never get it to switch to DM properly.

I just downloaded the newest firmware that they had out at the time... it was sometime last year. Go to http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT54G/download and select your version number (it should say your version number on the router's sticker somewhere, I think it's on the bottom), then download firmware on the left. Then just run the .exe and you should be good to go.

Is it just me, or does the 68carb1.wav have a slight ring or echo to it now? I noticed it after shooting the carbine for a while and it got slightly annoying... Meh, could just be my hearing.

Update the firmware if you haven't already. I had the same packet loss problem with that router and it was sorted after I updated the firmware on it.

You can also use rivatuner and other programs (speedfan, etc) to overclock your system if you really wanted to :)

I just use them to monitor temperatures and boost fan speeds when needed.

Poor Flip and Knack, trying to justify their racism in subtle ways... Makes me giggle inside.

As in regards to the original poster: what's said in a server is dictated by the server admins. As far as I know, there are no general rules in regards to censorship of speech.
