Is a trick jump the only way to get to the vent/ladder?  I'd advise against that.   Map routes should be as accessable to new players as possible.  They have a hard enough time just trying to shoot people -- no need to give them an even further disadvantage.

Yeah, even trying to trick jump, I still cannot seem to get up there nor up on the roof on the other side, but I haven't spent enough time exploring yet. . .

Yeah, I planned for everything to be centered on the middle, with separate paths (hence the crawlspace and special jump spots) between each base with some more stuff in the middle.  I just have the basics for now, I have not added in any barrels or boxes or anything yet.  Those are coming with the next release.  Now refresh my memory, does vis conk out when you have over 6000 portalclusters?

The way I had to do it when I had Verizon DSL is I had to pass the IP address from my router to the computer I wanted to be a server, kinda putting it in the firewall DMZ too.

On build 14 I had to go into the Controls/Misc options, set Page Up as my Chase Camera button, and then started a game.  Once you are set as an observer, press page up and then click the left mouse button until you are in first person view.

How did you get it to compile so fast?  I am making a map that is way smaller than that, but it took the stuff that comes with BSP a day and a half to compile it.

I am not sure what UDP ports are blocked though.  I wish I knew that way I could set up my own server on the dedicated server I manage that will go through the proxy filter.

Yeah, the university I go to uses the N2H2 Bess internet filter that is set up with a proxy.

I don't have a problem with this per se (from my home internet connection, at the college I go to, I have not been able to connect to any outside servers.  Maybe because of the proxy server that they use?  Maybe another feature to add:  proxy support), but I just wanted to do this as a public service.  I will have something similar to what I am thinking about on http://www.taloncomputing.us/

I will post here when I have that complete.  It is kinda incorporated with that XML feed thing that I posted about in the features request thread.

Is there a way we could get a list of all the servers started besides http://www.dpball.com/serverlist.php

and keep it updated.

IE so that someone can use the \connect command to join to an IP address if they cannot update the servers list inside the game?

It just happens.  I can't exactly tell when it will happen, but I will be going along, shooting some people, and then all of the sudden I will look up and then look down and then start spinning around like im doin some kinda funky dance.  rofl

Well, after further research, it appears it's a mouse issue and can happen in any game.

Funny, how come this never happens in any other first-person-shooter that I have?  (I have played through the original versions of Half-Life, HL Blue Shift, HL Opposing force, and other old games like that on my Athlon Xp 3200+ machine.  I have the nForce 2 Ultra 400 chipset on my mobo if that makes any difference.)
