over 1/2 of my school aren't caucasian

In my form, there are about 10 white people. That's 1/3 of the class.

Clans, Matches, and Tournaments / Re: Tryouts
« on: December 20, 2008, 01:22:12 PM »
Well, if you're in the position of making tryouts, such as the leader of a clan, then this is pretty much how:

1) Make sure you have people who want to join, i.e. applicants. Get their MSNs, Xfires, whatever, so you can contact them
2) Decide how you will try them out. This could simply be talking to them and seeing if they're people who you would like to play with in a clan, or testing their skill and if they are good enough, letting them in.
3) Decide on a date. Let all your applicants know when it is, where, which server, etc.
4) On the day, book that server and let the tryouts commence

urm, OTB arne't recruting (?) and all the rest don't match.

If you want to join a clan, Robbie, get on IRC and ask for a tryout. People will take you more seriously there. Also, give us some examples of clans you've played for so we can see what sort of skill level you play at.

It's funny because he spelt words incorrectly and used incorrect punctuation :)

People now days, what a sad sight. You guys need to get out more, Homos!? And Fullmetal wasn't acting either!

This is a literal translation, who knows what it could've meant...
Scholars and linguists have debated it for years...

Oh wow. Nice guess, spot on. To be more precise, Sandown.

The bottom three are taken from the Isle of Wight, the top one was taken in the Emirates Stadium. Pretty comfortable chairs considernig there are 60,000 or so of them.

Anyway, I should be able to find some better ones. Also, the beach huts all had punny names on them, I'll type those up.

This year was the quietest so far, probably due to the recession. And the weather

I'm not going to get any sleep tonight >:(

Bonfire Night sucks, I hate fireworks. This past month has been really bad for fireworks, with Diwali and Bonfire Night and such. Thanks a lot, Guy Fawkes

Tower Defence is the term for these sorts of games.

There are better ones than this.
Bloons 3
Protector
Protector: Reclaiming the Throne
Ultimate Defense
Vector TD
Onslaught
Elemental TD by Roman Sanine
To name a few.

They're brilliant fun IF they're original, with new themes, towers etc. Otherwise they're boring

Diotor was awesome. I used to absolutely love Robot Wars, got so many episodes on tape.

My favourite were Onslaught, Behemoth, Razer (of course) Hypnodisc, Panic Attack and Chaos 2 (Obviously). I remember being really sad when Firestorm II beat Panic Attack. Stupid flipper.

Anybody remember the episode when Razer took out Sgt Bash, single handedly. That was cool. Oh, and when Hypnodisc (Needs verification) broke one of Matilda's tusks.

Awesomeness

On another note, did/does anybody watched/watch Scrapheap Challenge/Junkyard Wars? Probably one of my favourite TV shows ever. Proper Job

I will try to take a photo of it, but on hte way to my school along one of the high streets we drive along, there is a newsagents named 'Smoker's Paradise' next to a 'Cancer Research UK' charity shop. Ironic. Also, there is a bank next to a pound shop, which is also kind of ironic.

Will try and take photos

Make whoever is admin to change your user into an admin. Then you can install stuff on your user. That's the obvious answer, not sure how else you would do it.

I'm not sure if this has been posted or you've all seen this, but I love this remix of an advert we have here in the UK:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGooQ8yYC0c

For those who haven't seen this video or the actual advert, Cilit Bang is one of the household cleaners we have here. They all have absolutely dreadful adverts; this is perhaps the worse. It's advert stars a guy called Barry Scott, who introduces the advert shouting: Hi there, I'm Barry Scott, and I would like to tell you about new Cilit Bang. This is the remix version of it, which should be bought by Cilit and used as their advert.

The funny thing is Barry Scott has become 'famous' because of his role in this advert; Nobody had heard of him before this advert, and he's hardly a celebrity now. He's just Barry Scott. And in fact he's not Barry Scott, he's Neil Burgess.
