Go download an FTP program like FileZilla, connect to their FTP site, and then drag the maps to your desktop.

Is it possible to show just unlit maps?

Type unlit:yes in the search box.

Things have been good on my end. How about you?

OK, I just moved the site to its own domain and made it look better. There are filters now, and you can search by author.

Here's jitspoe's maps, for example:
http://dpresource.com/#jitspoe+unlit:false+beta:false

Eh, I actually don't mind the (availability) of the junk maps that much. Since I found the old BSP parser that I had written for DP Resource, I probably will add controls to filter out unlit/unvised maps automatically.

Mapping / Re: LIST OF COMPLETED/BETA MAPS (with thumbnails)

Refreshing should fix that, but yeah, that needs to be rectified.

Fixed that.

Also added something to let you select maps, and then export it into a rotation.txt. Can also import an existing rotation.txt.

Well I'm back insofar as needing to go here to get stuff and whatnot, but I'm pretty terrible at visiting forums regularly, even with my own forums.

Mapping / Map Downloads & Database: Find maps, with thumbnails!
« on: June 28, 2013, 11:14:08 PM »
I was setting up a Paintball server for some friends but I couldn't really remember which maps were which, so I made a quick web interface tonight to browse maps:

Edit: dpresource is no longer online.  Check out http://mapsearch.website/dpfiles/ made by Whoa and Toolwut instead.

Visit Map Browser Site

This uses the map collection from OTB's FTP database and I am not maintaining the list/downloads of maps.

If you want your map included, get it onto OTB's FTP site and it will appear in the browser within an hour or two.

The screenshots are map thumbnails from the FTP site, made by me and pif years ago. Thumbnails are extracted from the .zips to my server and they are not updated automatically.

General Development / Re: DigitalPaintServer library

Talk about old thread.

The script is not multi-threaded. PHP is not multi-threaded.

If you wish to do it in PHP, then unfortunately you have to roll your own code, and use non-blocking UDP sockets to rapid-fire UDP requests to all the servers, and then spend 1-2 seconds listening for responses.

An alternative is to periodically check using a cronjob/scheduled task.

Paintball 2 Discussion / Web hosting for $3.50/month!
« on: November 10, 2009, 07:41:24 PM »
Is anyone interested in web hosting for $3.50/month? It'd be on the same server as DP Resource. There's cPanel, PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails, Perl, Python via CGI, FTP, email, the whole works.

Cambridge is not the 2nd top university. American universities have ruled the ranking of the world's top universities for a long time, and the only competiton in the foreseeable future is from China. Cambridge is up there, but it lags behind a lot of American unversities. But it doesn't matter. Immaturity and stupidity knows no age.

But anyway, if Paintball didn't get so buggy and unpredictable with a lot of players, dpWatchDog could be pretty useful in banning the guy (on OTB servers).

Paintball 2 Discussion / Re: Sensitivity
« on: September 06, 2009, 10:19:13 PM »
I had the two different for some time, and I kept changing m_yaw/m_pitch rather than sensitivity, eventually causing the values to diverge quite a bit. But this was long ago, and I never bothered to reset the settings.

Paintball 2 Discussion / DP Resource Wiki (not fully up)
« on: September 06, 2009, 07:06:15 PM »
You can find it here:
http://wiki.digitalpaint.therisenrealm.com/

It's only a test presently. You can login with any GLS username. Before the wiki goes live, I have to do something about the problem where all user IDs appear as numbers, rather than usernames. If you have an idea, do tell.

Paintball 2 Discussion / Re: Lets use the DP Wiki?

I unfortunately need to figure something for the map DB. If I just drop in a wiki, the map DB will stop working.
