Thanks. I learned about "exec play.cfg" where I can put a series of console commands in a file. But can't get it working just right. Can anyone suggest what series of commands would end with the 3 human players being on the same team, and 3 bots being on the other team?

Forcejoin playernumber r/b/y/p

Great - one more thing: once I've run forcejoin, it only changes the players on the next round - how do I kill off everyone, or force the start of a new round?

Thanks, all worked. Is there some way to make shortcuts or something that automatically runs whenever a new map is started? I always want the 3 human players in my game to be on the same team, and all bots we add to be on the opposing team.

Thanks so much - is there a way to set the skill level of the bots, or add different types of bots?

« on: April 02, 2016, 03:16:08 AM »
Hi there - just installed Build41 on 3 windows pc's - great fun with my kids - I want to control bots - add, remove and most importantly assign teams - but sv botcmd and sv botcommand both say "server command not found"

Any documentation or commands I could look at?

Strange thing is, the game ran on this PC when it was Win7, but after upgrading to Win10 it no longer works....

Help and Support / Game crashes immediately when starting

I did a new install of DP build 040 on Win10 (with built in Intel 945 graphics, dxdiag shows 9.1 directx) and it crashed immediately on start. I restarted Windows, same crash. I uninstalled DP and removed paintball2 folder, then installed build 041 - immediate crash, with no info from Windows or DP as to cause.

Any ideas, or a way to get debug info on what causes crash?

Installing wine solved the problem, but not as you might think. While wine was installing, I noticed heaps of 32 bit libs installing. Tried running Linux version after wine installed, works perfectly now

Cool how do I get hold of him?

Happens on 38 and 40 - strange! Any way I can produce more debug info? Or any way I can override the build check? I only want to play on a local machine

Nope - connected to your server, it downloaded the arena and placed me in it, 10 seconds in, it gave the same error as above - I notice it also says (in both cases, local and remote server) - "noname2028 failed build check" - any other ideas??

My guess would be that some library call meant for a 32bit lib is calling a 64bit lib, but I would have no idea to track down how - the game isn't segfaulting or crasing, it's simply kicking me out the arena within the game...

Hi there - I downloaded build 40 onto my 64-bit Ubuntu 13.10 machine, made sure the 32 bit libraries were installed (each time I tried to run and it reported a missing library, I went and found it and installed)

Once it started up fine, it got about 20 seconds into the tutorial, and then I got kicked, with error: "Corrupt/missing files or severe packet loss.  You may need to reinstall if this happens again."

And it refuses to let me back into the game - strange to be kicked when I'm a single player not conected to any other servers?

I also installed build 38 and got same result. The crash happens whether I move around the tutorial arena, or just stay still, after about 20-30 seconds....
