Gauntlet was a map i had started and never finshed that i wanted to get out. The only people i have showed the map to have seen a very pre beta stage, the inspiration RiMiNi got from Gauntlet was mainly from the game play of the map.

If u would really like to see it talk to me and i might show ya.

P.S Just like RiMiNi has said there's nothing related between the two maps besides the names and the point of having more game play then looks

Exceeded MAX_PATCHES

When hlrad runs, it takes all the visible faces in the game, and divides them into sections called patches. These patches are the textures used as the lightmaps for the world. There is a hard limit of 65535 patches that hlrad can deal with. By default, a 64x64 game unit chunk of space is the size of one patch. If the texture scaling (not texture size) is larger or smaller, it will directly affect the lightmap size as well. This means a texture with scale of 2, will have at best 1/4th as many patches as a texture with a scale of 1.

Putting a 'box' around the level to protect from leaks is the most commmon cause of this error, beyond excessively large maps. The box causes vis to keep the faces on the outside which would normally be thrown away. These faces are then required to have lightmaps. Worst case, is that putting a box around the level will usually cause an extra 40-80% more lightmaps to be created than necessary.

Barring having a box, the other cause is large maps. The fixes are varied but can only help so far.

    * Remove any "box" from around your level and fight the leak leak leak war the right way.
    * If you have not boxed in your level, then the #1 fix is running HLRAD with the -sparse flag - but compile will be slower.
    * Using -chop values larger than the default 64 for hlrad will cause the light patches to be larger. However, for values larger than around 96 the map's lights start looking bad, and will more prominently show the 'staircase' effect on shadows.
    * Using a larger scale on large textures (dirt, rock walls, concrete) will help those large surfaces consume fewer patches for lighting.

You obviously don't realize that the hand youe gun is in affects the aiming on the paintball robbie.

Also to be honest this doesn't do anything really helpful for the game besides make it seem real, when the last thing this game is from is real.

all maps will be on the eR33t-Gaming servers located in the USA.

Will eR33t be kicking teams while in the mist of matches for this league like they have done in the past during matches within the clan scene?

That is xfire for sure, in order to do this u must turn on dp activate xfire in game (default = Scroll lock + x). I use the shadow skin for xfire which is default by install if i recall, after u hit scroll lock + x. You click on the pencil on the bottom left corner and uncheck Display fps overlay and Display clock overlay, after that it should be gone.

If i recall wally is not a app used to make textures, wally is a app used to get new textures into .wal format so they can be used in bsp. If u take the time and look for the threads about the basic's of bsp, you will find it very easy to get textures in bsp.

his brother hardly ever plays and is somehow good enough to get into ij? hmm.. dunno bout that one..

Soulo now he hardly plays, he was playing alot more a couple month's ago before u came back into this community.
Just cause u weren't here to see this kid play does not me he wasn't good enough to get into ij.
