I don't know who Payl is, but I'm sick of his whining nonetheless.

k bro, im going to be the bigger, smarter, and vetter man here and just not ecen care or respond to what you have to say anymore. As I have said before the content you bring up is inappropraite for this thread. I'm sorry I even stooped down to that level, I feel quite ashamed now :/.

I'm sorry, but I kind of find it funny that you call yourself "smarter" but misspell "better", "can", and "inappropriate" shortly thereafter ;).

Paintball 2 Discussion / Re: Not enough DP players.
« on: November 24, 2011, 10:43:07 AM »
Only 4 or 5 of our (ThC's) players actually play. Most are not active at all, and are only in because they were in the clan and cool to play with when they were active sometime over the last few years. Not many clans could be split right now and still be able to do 3s. I think the problem is, it's hard to get new players interested in a game that isn't the latest console FPS hit (MW3).

Hmm. Is this a common hack? Because I've noticed a lot of suspicious shots lately when chasecamming..

I thought you were kidding personally! But, you definitely gotta love the sore-loser mentality. Of course, when you do the same thing nine rounds out of ten, you don't need wallhacks :]

Help and Support / Re: Computer crashes

Well.. Check your drivers. Run opengl specific tests. Most modern games default to a Direct3D rendersystem for rendering, whereas dp uses OpenGL. nVidia typically has very good opengl support though.

Paintball 2 Discussion / Re: It's that time of year again...

Make it open source so people like myers can hack easier without being detected. Awesome idea!! Unless jits is willing to spend the time to enjoy his own game and interact with the community I doubt it would be a priority in his life. Might as well let the hackers have it.

First off, hi flip! Long time.

Anyways. Open sourcing paintball would actually reduce hacking and speed development because more chefs could put into the pot. It would attract the attention of the OSS community (therefore attracting more players as well), and I myself, a professional software developer, would be more than happy to contribute on an open source level. I.E. I notice someone blatantly hacking while playing (quite frequently lately), if paintball was open source I could crack it open and attempt to fix it myself without waiting on the fix that may never come.

For point of reference, look at the number of exploits for closed source browsers like Safari and IE compared to the open source Mozilla alternative.

Clans, Matches, and Tournaments / Re: need info on dio
« on: September 15, 2008, 07:09:49 PM »
that was pointless

Actually no, his post had a lot of point to it, all in the bolded section.

You see, dplogin's clan list is only just over a year old, so anything to do with a "few years back" completely negates your suggestion of searching dplogin. Also the OP(sonicx059) is the current leader of the current clan DIO, and as the leader he's merely asking about older clans named DIO.

The level 35 stuff is a good idea on their part, I get annoyed as hell at all the idiots switching to the better team. But this is a topic for that other thread. :D

Actually... no, it's even more annoying when you can't go obs to answer your phone or switch to the other team when a bunch of players disconnect leaving it 10v1. Terrible idea.

Cheater Reports and Bans / Re: Cheat Detected: -s2k.Kratos
« on: August 22, 2008, 04:12:46 PM »
"They" is one guy there champ.

One person in a clan who hacks may equate to more hackers that just haven't been caught yet there champ. This kratos kid is supposed to have a huge array of quake 2 hacks, which may include aimbots and other nasties that aren't detected by cheat detection.

But that's not even the point I was trying to make. The point I was trying to make, before you came in very condescending, is that even with knowing where the whole opposing team was at all times, he still wasn't any good.

Mapping / Re: secret door glitch plz help
« on: August 22, 2008, 03:55:06 PM »
Let me say this:

As soon as your map is made public, it will be decompiled and your " secret" will be found.

not even. Most people use chase cam in matches, pretty easy to find out that way too.

Called it in the numerous matches i ringed in against s2k. You'd think they would have won at least once with wallhacks though.

Oh well. gg

Mapping / Re: More advanced map making with BSP
« on: July 21, 2008, 07:20:14 PM »
dnadna is perfectly reasonable in his logic.

But the community (here) doesn't support the use of the game as a jump game.

Actually, from what I've gathered, only a small portion of the community (most of which very rarely plays) does not condone this game being used for jumping. The very idea that you should put constraints on how to have legitimate fun in a game is kinda stupid anyways imho.
