Okay stop stop STOP!! Jesus guys, theres a room for that kind of stuff :)

Anyhoo, all the mask really needs is a bit of the top and bottom cut off, just got paint shop pro 9 so im gonna work on a new one. I know last one was supposed to be final, but hey can you blame me? im getting into this stuff ^_^...

Just got done watching a friend play bf:vietnam (think that was the game). Its got an option where you can bring the gun up to the center and look through its crosshairs. Be an awesome thing to implement in pb, just make a new command to do that, i believe all u gotta do is mod the gun_x and gun_y positions for that.

Okay, final remake of it, this time I kinda followed what jitspoe said about it removing some peripheral vision. I remade it after looking at a pball cam thats attached to the inside of a mask that emulates what the player sees. As you notice, not much of a disadvantage is added, you can still see practically everything.

Why not just mod the code so no matter whether its left or right hand, u shoot center? I believe thats done in several other games, including q3a...

Okay, changed the first mask so its not all blurry around the edges and looks a bit cooler (but not so err...paintball-ish?). Now to answer your questions simply.

All I really did was made a crosshair with transparencies that had the masking around it. Looks cool but might run a bit slow on older computers. Although I have talked to jitspoe about it, im gonna see if he could possibly implement it into the next version and make it move when you breath.

As for the scope, it really depends on the level of zooming you do, I usually only zoom to about 35-45, so the paint still hits inside the reticle. But with the drop, no it wont hit where the lil red dot is... :)

Here is the more realistic 'goggle' effect, I figured it would make the game a bit more challenging and add some realism.

And just in case a scope ever gets implemented into pball (doubt it) heres a crosshair for it.
