I skipped my 15 year high school reunion last month, but I might show up for this. It was a fateful day in 1997 I started playing GLQWPB or whatever it was called. It's funny who is considered oldschool now. I told Nutiket and Picklehead, and sent messages to the numbers I had for oddjob and Red Baron, but it's been years since I talked to them.

Summer of 98, so it's almost exactly 8 years old.

Is that DP only?

I graduated high school in June '97, started at UMass w/Picklehead in Sept or late Aug of 1997, and he said smth about a UMass pball club. Some search engine came up w/quake paintball, and I hadn't played quake yet, but pickle had, so I checked it out. I still remember my first kills - two of my own red teammates on Battle. So, I guess I've been playing video game paintball since 1997. That'll be 9 years come fall.

No, honestly I don't care either way if you stay or leave. Just do what you said, or don't say it. That's why I always found it easier to just leave, w/o posting about it.

No Jitspoe, those videos were terrible, just cause we didnt like them doesnt mean he has to try and look cool. Oh well. He is hated among everyone here.

Not to hijack a thread or anything, but didn't you post smth saying you were leaving? When can we hope to expect this? As for the videos, yeah, they suck. I remember what it was like to first get my license and have nothing to do. Muy original.

Let's not make things -too- easy. There are far too many excrement maps out there already.

I'd almost rather not talk about it, but..

College started in '97 for me, at ZooMass- Amherst (and ironically enough, I did look at CU- Boulder as I have family in the area). I started as a CS major, and was rocking out w/my p166mmx. Sad times. My roomate mentioned smth about a paintball field at school, so I hopped on the net and goog.. er, altavista'd it. Lo and behold, I came across qwpball. And w/my voodoo1 orchid righteous card, I could run glquake! Good times. My first two kills were on battle, and they were my teammates. Who knew? I missed a few exams, breaks home and the like due to paintball matches, mapmaking, etc, but it was well worth it. Years later, we're still together.

On a more serious note, your campus sounds like mine: computers/labs everywhere. A laptop is nice, and having two computers is nicer, but I'd say max out your desktop. It'll be a female dog to move, but you can only use one pc at a time anyway, so use the best you can.
