there should be at least some way to get ontop of the crates that does not involve going onto the higher levels. i think that there could be a double jump by a few of the crates

instead of doing fiddly stuff with the advanced physics and server configs, couldnt there be a mutators button when you start a new game so that you can set the server so that balls make you bounce and things for making jump severs so that its all just alot simpler.  you could keep the adanced physics but the mutators would be a bit more like presets

another point with this is that you could use mutators to experiment with diffrent game modes more easily and there could be servers with one particular mod on.

this would probably be hard to make though :-\

if you use a custom hud then you could chose wether to use it on the video settings

i think that some sort of program to turn bsps into a new map format should be made so that old maps can be transfered and bsps can gradually fade out of the system in favour of better map fomats being used

I think that if people do talk about hacks then there is nothing stopping them actually trying to post hacks which is not good as it ruins gameplay for everyone

a variation on that would be that the first capured flag is worth more points than the second and the amount that the first and second flag are worth could be set in the server config. Otherwse i would probably say that the first cap should end the round

you could also have it so that the player's name is decided randomly when the game is first installed (so on the multiplayer setup it will say "newbie489") and then they will always have the same name.

your not really obliged to stay on a map as there is usually at least one map that is pretty decent being played

yeah, the colours might have to be sligtly diffrent than how your player looks but then you could see blue HUDs in a dark area and so on

i think it would be pretty good if the colour of your HUD would match whatever team you were on so that instead of  your amount of ammo being in red, it could automatically change to be in blue or purple...
